Plagiarism Policy

Berkala Penelitian Hayati is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and ensuring the originality of all published works. Authors are expected to submit manuscripts that are entirely original and free from plagiarism in any form.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Direct copying of text, ideas, images, data, or results from other sources without proper citation or acknowledgment.
  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another author's work without appropriate attribution.
  • Self-plagiarism, including the reuse of significant parts of previously published work without proper citation or disclosure.
  • Duplicate or redundant publication of the same research in more than one journal.
  • Improper citation or omission of sources used in the manuscript.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening using appropriate similarity detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts identified with a high level of similarity or suspected plagiarism will be evaluated by the editorial team.

If plagiarism or unethical publication practices are detected, the journal may take the following actions:

  • Reject the manuscript during the submission or review process.
  • Request revision and proper citation if the overlap is considered minor and unintentional.
  • Retract the article if plagiarism is discovered after publication.
  • Notify the author’s institution or relevant authorities in cases of serious ethical misconduct.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and that submitted work complies with ethical standards of scientific publication.

Berkala Penelitian Hayati follows internationally recognized publication ethics guidelines to preserve the integrity and quality of scholarly communication.
